ABOUT

Amanda Checco is a French-American artist and educator dedicated to serving the public through socially engaging experiences that foster dialogue and cultivate community. As a member of the Art as Social Practice movement, Amanda's interactive, publicly accessible work creates space for collective contemplation, inspiration, and education. Her vision and mission are expressed through a wide range of soul-stirring media, including original television production, theater design, book publication, murals, and international art exchanges. Travel and gaining new perspectives through cross-cultural exchange inspires her work.

Amanda's early career started in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she collaborated on a variety of art and design projects, became a certified yoga teacher, and obtained a Masters Degree in Fine Arts and Educational Television Production at the University of Cincinnati. She currently shares her life between France and the United States, working as an artist, designer, and educator.
